Starting in August each year, the participating schools conduct internal competition on Business Plan Development and Presentation. The winner of each school’s internal competition is invited to participate and compete in the national business plan competition in Atlanta in April. The winners of the national competition receive a total of up to $30,000.00 - $40,000 scholarships. The first place winner also is invited to participate in international competitions. The program provides entrepreneurial opportunities and experiences to students and helps them to look at the big picture and apply all their conceptual & theoretical knowledge in a fast-paced business environment.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Jesse Hill, Jr. Championship Award: $20,000.00 ($10,000 cash and $10,000 In-Kind Consulting for starting the business)
Second Place: $10,000.00 ($5,000 cash and $5,000 In-kind Consulting for starting the business)
Third Place $4,000.00 ($2,000 cash and $2,000 In-Kind Consulting for starting the business)
Fourth Place $2,000.00 ($1,000 cash and $1,000 Consulting for starting the business)
Faculty Advisors only for top four teams will be eligible for additional stipend.
