PROGRAM IMPACTS

In 2001, when we started this program, not a single HBCU had any entrepreneurship program. The HBCU Entrepreneurship and Innovation program has made tremendous programmatic and other impacts on HBCU communities. Here are the main measurable impacts of this program:

1.    The program started with five HBCUs and today the program covers over fifty HBCUs covering about 90% of the student body.

2.    Over forty HBCUs now have various levels of entrepreneurship and innovation programs.

3.    Over 5000 students have participated in the program and the program changed their lives for good

4.    Over 200 faculty members have participated in the program and the program changed their mindset too.

5. Over 100 business and engineering deans have participated in the program and received training

6. Over 100 presidents/chancellors have participated in the National Policy Forum and benefitted tremendously

7. 21 new businesses have successfully started and doing well
